I am thrilled to serve  as your DC Charter Chapter President. I am looking forward to an exciting year, and hope we can grow our Chapter and share the news about ABWA with other professional women. Our Chapter is very excited that our own Karen Williams was elected as the new District IV Vice President. Congratulations to her, and thanks to the Chapter for their support.

 

This year, we have two ways to add money to our scholarship fund. 

- Terri Lynn Cares offers nuts, candy, and snacks. Every time you order through our web site, we get money for our scholarship fund. Click on the News and Events section of our web page and go to the scholarship box and click to see the selections.

 

-We are participating in a cash back project with flipgive. We have set up a team for our chapter. If you are interested in learning more about this effort, all you need to know is provide me with your email address. You will get an invitation from flipgive and can go to our ABWA DC Charter Chapter team. Many stores like Target, Walmart, Under Armour, Old Navy, Starbucks participate. The list grows often. If you shop on line, this is a perfect way to accomplish two things at once. Get the items you want, and help our chapter at the same time.

 

Our chapter has already done some worthwhile community outreach by providing school supplies to local elementary schools, and Thanksgiving baskets to families who could use some additional support. We will continue to be a presence in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area and look forward to an exciting year.
